IT support for law firms in San Diego
Managed IT for firms that cannot afford a confidentiality problem, and cannot bill an hour spent waiting on a laptop.

A law firm runs on two things a general IT vendor tends to underestimate: the confidentiality of the file, and the value of an uninterrupted hour. We support firms in Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, and across North County San Diego with a California-based helpdesk that answers in under five minutes, devices that are patched and watched before anything breaks, and a Microsoft 365 tenant that is backed up independently of Microsoft.
Where it hurts
What we hear from firms before they switch.
A stopped laptop is a stopped clock
Every minute an attorney or a paralegal spends on hold is a minute nobody bills. Hourly IT has the incentive backwards: it earns more the longer the problem lasts.
Confidentiality is not a checkbox
The duty of confidentiality covers the file wherever it lives, including a mailbox, a shared drive, and a phone in a coat pocket. Most firms have no idea which of those is actually protected.
The practice software has opinions
Practice management and trust accounting software tends to be particular about versions, permissions, and backups, and it is usually the one application nobody is allowed to break.
Deadlines do not move for outages
A court filing deadline is indifferent to a failed update. Work that can wait until Saturday should happen on Saturday, not during a hearing week.
The firm's IT person is a partner
In a lot of small firms, the person who resets passwords and buys laptops is the one whose time is worth the most. That is an expensive way to run a helpdesk.
How we cover it
The same four services the rest of our clients get, pointed at the way a firm actually works.

Helpdesk
Your attorneys and staff call and reach a California-based engineer, in English or Spanish, in under five minutes, with a 30-minute response guarantee in writing. Unlimited tickets, so nobody sits on a problem through a deposition to save a call.

Device Management
Every laptop, desktop, and server the firm depends on is patched, protected by managed antivirus, and monitored in real time. Disruptive work runs after hours, and repair labor is already covered, so a dead machine during trial prep is a phone call and not a quote.

Cyber Security+
For most firms the mailbox is the case file. We back up the entire Microsoft 365 tenant, mailboxes, SharePoint, and OneDrive, independently of Microsoft, so a deleted matter folder or a ransomware event is something you restore from. Security alerts are watched 24/7/365, not just during office hours.

Microsoft 365
If the firm is still on an aging on-premises server, we plan the move to Microsoft 365 around your calendar and cut it over in stages. If you are already there, we right-size the licensing and run the tenant properly instead of leaving it to drift.
Confidentiality, and what we will and will not claim
Your duty of confidentiality is yours. No vendor can take it on for you, and any IT company that says it can make your firm compliant is selling something. What we can do is make the duty easier to keep: control who has access to what, keep an independent recoverable copy of the file, watch the tenant around the clock, and keep every device that touches client data patched and accounted for.
We work with your practice management and trust accounting software rather than around it, and we work to the requirements your bar association, your malpractice carrier, or your clients set. We do not certify your firm against any specific rule or framework, and we will tell you plainly where a request needs your own counsel rather than ours.
If a client audit or an insurer questionnaire lands on your desk and asks about your IT, send it to us. Answering it is part of what you already pay for.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work with our practice management software?
- Yes. We treat it as the application that must not break: we handle its updates, its permissions, and its backups, and we test changes before they reach the people billing on it. Tell us what you run and we will tell you exactly how we would support it before you sign anything.
We still have a server in the closet. Can you take that over?
- Yes. We can support it where it is, and we can plan the move to Microsoft 365 when you are ready. A migration is scoped and priced before it starts, and it is cut over in stages so email and files stay available while the move happens.
What happens if someone deletes a matter folder?
- You restore it. Microsoft guarantees the service is running, not that your data survives a deletion or a ransomware event, which is why we back the whole tenant up independently. Mailboxes, SharePoint, and OneDrive are all recoverable, up to and including the entire tenant.
Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?
- Yes. Firms should expect that of any vendor with access to their systems, and we expect to be asked.
We are five attorneys and two paralegals. Are we too small?
- No. Our pricing is per user, per device, and per licensed mailbox, so a seven-person firm pays for seven people. There is no minimum seat count and no enterprise floor to clear.
Ready when you are.
Tell us how many attorneys and staff you have, what you run today, and what breaks most often. We respond within one business hour, in English or Spanish.
